The new season is fast approaching and we've already had the Buzzumble and this Saturday there is the clubs golf day at Rookwood and after the preseason to be held at Ewhurst Club House.

The season fixtures are already available on the website and it's time for those players of you out there the start updating your contact detail and availability so the captains can start looking at teams for the first few games particularly the first weekend of Fullers cricket where we have a league game on the Saturday against Hook followed by a cup game on the Sunday against Godalming, a little local derby there. I've put detail further on in the email regards the website and if you have problems with remembering you username or password please let me know so I can get you back up and running.

Regarding sub this season which are due now they will be discounted until 31st May so you need to pay up early doors to get the saving. Full membership will be £80 with a £10 discount if paid early and students £40 with a discount of £4, these can be paid either:

One other change is regarding match fees which remain frozen at 2015 prices but we need to introduce an incentive to ensure prompt payment as these seems to be a increasing issue. Payment for matches needs to be paid on the day or via PayPal/bank transfer close of play Monday if not then there will be an increase of £1 for each week of late payment. This and asking for prompt payment of membership is required as the club have had a huge outlay over the winter months with the purchase of a new outfield mower and the news now that the club house roof is in need of urgent attention. We also need ideas and volunteers for ways to generate additional income for the club to help rebuild the clubs reserves so we can invest in the future of your cricket club.

 Now is time for some spring cleaning and to check in at the Ewhurst website http://ewhurstcc.hitscricket.com so you can update your contact details then ECC can keep in contact. If you’ve forgotten you username or password either click forgotten password or respond back to this mail and the details will be sent to you. Once you have accessed your account clicking on My Profile which is located below you name and the log out button as shown below and please amend the details as required.

Here you’ll also see a tab called Social media logins where you can now link your ECC website profile with your social media account these include Google. Facebook and Twitter this will then allow you to login using your social media account. The advantage of doing this is that you don't have to remember multiple passwords, once linked you can simply use your social media account by click the appropriate icon (as shown below) for the account you have linked to get access to the ECC website.

For the playing members please start entering your availability so the captains can better plan for the weeks ahead, this will also help as we are arranging additional fixtures for Saturdays and need to know in advance what weekends we can field two teams. To access and update you availability click on the availability button in the top bar as shown below, this is only displayed when you have logged in. Some players have already started entering and thanks to those players for your support.

If you don’t have access to a PC, don’t blame you they are getting rather dated and very rare to find these days, you can access the website via the mobile link on any smartish Phone/Tablet at this url http://ewhurstcc.hitscricket.com/m where you can login and check the news, events and yes availability. During the season you’ll also be able to pay match fees via PayPal within the mobile site.
