The new season is fast approaching with Buzzumble next Saturday 12^th April then the following weekend the clubs golf day and preseason. Sunday 20^th sees the first game of the season against Brockham Green venue at the home of cricket…..Ewhurst Cricket Club. Sorry for the long mail but need to communicate some changes, news and support needed from yourselves so the club can keep better in contact, there some news about the bar at the end so keep reading.

Now is time for some spring cleaning and to check in at the Ewhurst website http://ewhurstcc.hitscricket.com so you can update your contact details then ECC can keep in contact. If you’ve forgotten you username or password either click forgotten password or respond back to this mail and the details will be sent to you. Once you have accessed your account clicking on My Profile which is located below you name and the log out button as shown below and please amend the details as required.

Here you’ll also see a tab called Social media logins where you can now link your ECC website profile with your social media account these include Google. Facebook and Twitter this will then allow you to login using your social media account. The advantage of doing this is that you don't have to remember multiple passwords, once linked you can simply use your social media account by click the appropriate icon (as shown below) for the account you have linked to get access to the ECC website.

For the playing members please start entering your availability so the captains can better plan for the weeks ahead, this will also help as we are arranging additional fixtures for Saturdays and need to know in advance what weekends we can field two teams. To access and update you availability click on the availability button in the top bar as shown below, this is only displayed when you have logged in. Some players have already started entering and thanks to those players for your support.

If you don’t have access to a PC, don’t blame you they are getting rather dated and very rare to find these days, you can access the website via the mobile link on any smartish Phone/Tablet at this url http://ewhurstcc.hitscricket.com/m where you can login and check the news, events and yes availability. During the season you’ll also be able to pay match fees via PayPal within the mobile site.

​We are also still looking to build our membership both playing and none playing so please help spread the word. If you've not seen already the Club has already had articles in a number of local publications and a few volunteers helped deliver newsletter around Ewhurst and the surrounding area, many thanks to those that gave up there Sunday morning to support this. We still need the support of everyone to build the clubs numbers for the future success of the club.

Oops nearly forgot the news about the bar. This season we are pleased to announce that the bar/club will have the facility to take card payments via chip and pin or swipe and sign, you could say tabs are back….kinda, so no issues if you’ve not brought enough cash when you get the 50 or 5 wicket jugs in J
